This restaurant is steeped in history and atmosphere - not to mention the simply delicious fare. Every day there is a whole sirloin of the very best Roast Beef, carved at the table from the silver domed wagon. This is if you are not tempted by the truly eclectic menu which features many traditional, almost bygone, dishes amongst favourite and unusual plates.
The cheese trolley is laden with English Cheeses, biscuits, grapes, celery, nuts and port.
Again a rarity - the pudding trolley groans with tempting, freshly made desserts which are irresistible.
Chilled pudding wines are offered to complement them.
